What a fun afternoon! It was our first day to meet folks and get to know about the interests of the P.A.I.N.T. group. It was an incredibly funny and talented crew. Amazing painters and sewers and DO-ers! Making patches was a fun way to hang out and make stuff and exchange stories. Thanks everyone for being so open and welcoming. We talked about music and 80's films and quantum physics and social justice and art! It was a fun creative queer space that we (the artists) left from, grinning from ear to ear. This was the highlight of our week FOR SURE!
Also of note: we will do the next zine workshop Oct 1 at the Cambie Library and then make some decisions on the next set of workshops. we are building a collective art community and as the artists we plan to tailor workshops to interests and fun directions that suit the group.
