Linocuts!

Today we learned to make a linocut. A linocut is a relief printing technique where a design is carved into a sheet of linoleum. We used regular lino and easy green lino to carve into. The raised, uncarved areas are then inked and pressed onto paper or fabric to create a print.

Folks made quick work and designs were not only carved but also printed onto paper!

Some folks also painted and sewed MORE PATCHES!

By experimenting with different art practices we are learning what folks like to make.

It really feels like a painting and fabric kind of group!
